MEAL Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Data Management:

Develop and implement project-specific MEAL plans, tools, and indicators in coordination with program teams.

Supervise the design and rollout of data collection tools (e.g., surveys, focus group guides, checklists).

Ensure timely and quality data collection, entry, cleaning, and analysis.

Maintain and manage centralized MEAL databases and dashboards.

Evaluation & Learning:

Lead internal evaluations and support third-party evaluations across sectors.

Facilitate after-action reviews and learning sessions to capture lessons learned and inform future programming.

Compile and disseminate evidence-based recommendations and success stories.

Integrate findings into ongoing program improvement cycles.

Accountability & Feedback Mechanisms:

Oversee the design and implementation of accountability mechanisms, including complaints and feedback systems.

Ensure community input is systematically collected, documented, and used in program decision-making.

Conduct training on accountability principles for program and field staff.

Ensure confidentiality and timely response to sensitive complaints.

Capacity Building & Coordination:

Provide technical support and training to field MEAL staff and program teams on M&E standards and tools.

Coordinate MEAL activities with program managers, partners, and relevant stakeholders.

Represent the organization in MEAL-related working groups and external forums as needed.

Reporting & Compliance:

Ensure accurate and timely MEAL inputs for donor reports and internal dashboards.

Support compliance with donor requirements, including indicators, disaggregation, and reporting formats.

Document and share best practices, methodologies, and tools across teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social sciences, Statistics, International Development, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEAL roles within NGOs or humanitarian settings.

Strong skills in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Kobo, SPSS, etc.) and digital data collection platforms.

Excellent knowledge of MEAL methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).

Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Demonstrated leadership and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
