Ayyad El Masri

In mid-2017, I embarked upon a career in the humanitarian field throughout which I have worked with Save the Children International (2017-2018) within their Education program and in the Information, Counseling and Legal Assistance program of the Norwegian Refugee Council (2018-2019). I am currently working on research projects with the Arab Institute for Women and the Social Sciences Department at the Lebanese American University. My research focuses on the rights of gender and sexual minorities in the Arab world.

Prior, I served as the Director of Training and Educational Development for the Model Arab League program where I was responsible for managing a team of 70 trainers while structuring the training material and curricula necessary for proper leadership training for high school and middle school students from around Lebanon. This came after I had trained more than 200 students over two years in various simulation programs of the United Nations and the Arab League.

Additionally, I was invited to be part of the Harvard University Secretariat for the World Model UN Conferences in Rome, Italy (2016) and Montréal,Canada (2017). In 2016 and 2017, I chaired the simulation of the International Labor Organization in the Global Classrooms International Model UN which was held in New York at the United Nations Headquarters.
