- Experienced Business Development Manager and Fundraiser working in the MENA region, building national regional and international coalitions on diverse topics including Women Peace and Security, SRHR, civic rights, election reform, etc. Experience in devising and implementing strategies and capture plans with donors, and conducting outreach with potential fundraising international and regional partners. Contributed to and lead over numerous proposals , on gender equality, supporting women online content creation and holistic safety and security, LGBTIQ rights, and SRHR.

Experience with the Civil Society
- Coordinated the Hivos Programme Manager Women Empowered for Leadership Programme in Lebanon & Jordan (2015-2018). Led a coalition of over 12 CSOs, facilitating campaign coordination, communications (social media, audiovisual and grassroots) and visibility, as well as relations with other similar coalitions, key government officials and international NGOs. Managed gender knowledge products, including public opinion research, media consumption surveys, baselines, and lessons learnt guides aimed at informing and guiding local NGOs to develop effective and innovative intervention tools. Conducted continuous outreach with and scouting of new and innovative initiatives, ideas and activists.
- As Hivos Middle East Coordinator (2013-2015), Coordinated a project on gender based violence (GBV) awareness and services for Syrian refugees,
Co-organised, conceptualised and presented at regional conferences on: child marriage during transitions and conflicts (October 2015) attended by key local and regional organisations,; minorities in the MENA region; co-organised four meetings in Geneva, Istanbul and Beirut aimed at preparing and advocating for Syrian women's rights groups at the peace talks. Built and maintained relations with dozens of CSOS, activists and journalists in the MENA region, particularly in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Tunisia, Egypt and Syria. Expanded Hivos’ network of local partnerships which enabled the creation of region-wide programmes, focused on supporting women in elections in Iraq, human rights advocacy, and supporting independent journalists, and WHRDs.
- Programme Manager at Heinrich Boell Foundation - Middle East Office, Beirut (2009 - 2013). Managed over 15 projects in Lebanon in the Statehood and Participation, and Conflict and Dialogue programmes. Key projects include: Combatting censorship of the arts in Lebanon (2009-2012), Gender sensitisation and gender equality awareness with Iraqi judges (2009-2012),. • Managed four projects in post-conflict and transition countries. In Tunisia, managed two projects on electoral and democratic reform, and in Syria, three projects on supporting emerging civil society groups. • Successfully organised two Arab Bloggers Meetings in 2009 (Beirut) and 2011 (Tunis) which brought together many of the key digital activists in the MENA region and aimed to address digital freedom of expression. • Conducted field trips to Tripoli, Libya, Syria and Egypt to establish partnerships with local CSOs and international NGOs. • Co-organised and conceptualised conferences on ethnic and religious conciliation in Iraq (attended by 60 religious and ethnic leaders) , security policies in the Middle East (attended by 50 U.S. and regional experts) , and transformations in the MENA region (attended by 100 regional activists).
- Project Coordinator at the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (2006-2009). Managed the Civil Campaign for Electoral Reform, which is a coalition of 58 Lebanese NGOs advocating for electoral reform in Lebanon. • Organised and participated in over 30 meetings and workshops with Members of Parliament, political parties and political decision-makers on electoral reform. • Devised lobbying strategies for target groups, including preparation of material for political events and developing talking points and messages.
- Project Manager at the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (2005 - 2006). 4 projects managed included: Enhancing the capacity of journalists in their coverage of elections (over a one year period organised 4 workshops, the writing of a manual for journalists, lobbying meetings with editors) • Monitoring the media’s coverage of the 2005 Lebanese Elections (carried out in cooperation with the European Union, over a 8 month period oversaw 8 media monitors, writing of 2 media reports, 3 training workshops, final report, and final conference); • Elections monitoring of 2005 parliamentary election (organised over 15 training workshops with over 1500 participants, managed the organisation and registration of 1200 election monitors, managed a team of 10 staff and volunteers in logistics and planning, liaised with Ministry of Interior to establish a joint operations committee) and Enhancing the Participation of Women in Elections (organised 10 workshops with 500 participants). • Responsibilities also included writing narrative reports, monitoring activities, writing proposals and representing LADE at national and regional conferences. • Assisted in the coordination of parliamentary election monitoring for the 2005 elections.
