The regional office of the Caritas confederation for the Middle East, North of Africa, and Horn of Africa region has the task of coordinating the work of the Caritas organizations present in the 15 countries of this region as well as contributing to their institutional development through capacity building. On an international level, the office has the role of harmonizing the partnerships that are developed between those Caritas organizations on one hand, and their international partners and the General Secretariat of the Caritas confederation (Caritas Internationalis), on the other.
