“Warm
food, safe homes, and basic services- these are all important.

But we
want to give so much more than that!”

Our mission is to provide love, compassion, and support to underprivileged people
through implementing programs that will improve the quality of life and health
and reduce hunger and poverty.

Through these projects,
we are trying to encourage young people to work with the elderly and to
recognize deprived people. In turn, these young people will learn valuable life
lessons and hopefully pass on the kindness.
Gestures From The Heart is seeking to bring a radical change to the lives of deprived
people because we believe that every person has the right to a decent life and that it is our humanitarian
responsibility to take care of each other.

During our distribution courses, the level of poverty shocked
us. The people we encountered were barely surviving. Any lack of what little
they had meant their death.

There are cases we will never forget such as an old woman who
had to eat an orange wrapped in bread as a sandwich because she was so hungry,
or unfortunately the case of the old man who passed away due to cold weather.

‘Gestures from the Heart’ is a non-political affiliated and nonreligious NGO, duly registered under the decree number 1452 and operates in North Lebanon.Gestures from the Heart’s main objective is to help specifically the abandoned elders, and to give a helping hand to deprived families and empowering deprived women.
