The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Director General Amy Pope warns that extreme insecurity and appalling human rights violations, including mass killings and ethnic and sexual violence in El Fasher, North Darfur, have triggered a dramatic surge in displacement and further worsened the humanitarian crisis.

NICEF calls for all parties to fully uphold their obligations under international law and the ceasefire agreement. Civilians, especially children, must be protected at all times. Displaced people must be allowed to move freely and voluntarily return to their homes safely, as soon as conditions allow.

Yemen’s food security outlook remains dire across all areas, with significant challenges projected to persist through February 2026.
