CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS This policy brief examined the complex trajectories and mechanisms of the intervention deployed in the aftermath of the explosion raising questions of fairness and equality to the forefront of the humanitarian regime in Lebanon. يشكّل البحث القائم على الأدلّة حجر الأساس في أيِّ محاولةٍ جدّية لإنتاج المعرفة حول المجتمع أو فهم الظواهر والسلوكيات والمواقف الاجتماعية والثقافية والسياسية، وذلك في سبيل التخطيط لاستجابات وتدخّلات مناسبة (سواء التخطيط للمشاريع أو صياغة السياسات). وعليه، تقدّم هذه الوحدة التعليمية لمنظّمات المجتمع المدني وجهاته الفاعلة والعاملين فيه في لبنان مفاهيم أساسية حول تصميم الأبحاث، إلى جانب بعض المبادئ التوجيهية العملية التي تخوّلهم تحقيق الاستفادة القصوى من أدوات البحث في عملهم.

Evidence-based research forms the backbone of any serious attempt to produce knowledge about society or understand social, cultural, and political phenomena, behaviors,and attitudes, in order to devise the adequate responses and interventions (whether in programming or policy making). Hence, this module provides civil society organisations, actors, practitioners in Lebanon with basic concepts in research design and practical guidelines to optimise the use of research method tools in their work.

Annual Report about our 2016 

This report is based on answers to two surveys carried out in Lebanon in 2018 as part of a project to understand how refugees and humanitarian staff perceive the impact of the reforms enshrined in the Grand Bargain.

This research study presents the main finding of marginalization and exploitation processes related to Palestinian youth in Lebanon. The study was conducted between 2016-2017 in all over Lebanon including Palestinian camps and gatherings. Quantitative facts about the topic are well documented in the study. The methodology was based on three forms of data collection: desktop review, focus groups and in depth interviews with Palestinian youth and stakeholders.
