Emergency Response - Weekly Operational Update - SITREP 1

Israel’s large-scale military operation in Lebanon, ongoing since September 23, 2024, has resulted in nearly 1,873 deaths, 9,134 injuries, and the displacement of over 1,000,000 people.
Amel Association has mobilized all its centers and staff nationwide, declaring a state of emergency to respond to the crisis by providing health care, protection, and essential aid.

Between September 26 and 30, Amel provided 353 primary health consultations, distributed essential aid to displaced adults and children, and facilitated medical referrals.
Psychological first aid and psycho-social support were provided to over 1,200 internally displaced persons (IDPs), with a particular focus on child protection and mental health services.

Amel coordinated aid through 31 focal points across 41 collective shelters in various Lebanese governorates, ensuring the distribution of hygiene kits, water, and bedding.
