1MORECUP is seeking a Communications Specialist to support the "UNiTE-Diversity: Let's Dig a Little Deeper to End GBV" project. This project aims to unite diverse marginalized communities to advocate for inclusive women's rights and gender equality while sensitizing society to marginalized issues through multimedia storytelling, public engagement, and evidence-based research on gender-based violence (GBV) in Lebanon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage social media communications and create engaging content
- Engage with media outlets and journalists
- Create and produce internal communications materials and channels, with the help of the production teams
- Develop and execute communication plans to increase public awareness
- Work in advertising, social media, and media relations
- Write and distribute content to promote the organization's brand, activities, and products
- Support the production and dissemination of research publications on GBV in Lebanon
- Plan, coordinate, and produce podcast episodes featuring diverse voices from marginalized communities, with the help of the production team
- Assist in organizing events such as research launches and panel discussions
- Develop engaging multimedia content to raise awareness on GBV and gender issues
- Ensure all communications materials are inclusive and sensitive to diverse marginalized communities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field or work experience
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content
- Strong writing and editing skills in Arabic and English; French is a plus
- Experience in conducting interviews and working with media personnel
- Knowledge of advertising, social media, and media relations strategies
- Strong commitment to gender equality and supporting marginalized communities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in social media management and digital content creation
- Knowledge of GBV issues and gender equality in the Lebanese context
- Familiarity with podcast production and multimedia storytelling
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Deep understanding of inclusion and marginalized communities
- Research background is an asset
