  ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality JOB PROFILE   JOB TITLE:   Child Care Attendant (2 positions )  LOCATION: Beirut / Jbeil  ABAAD PURPOSE: ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. “Ending Gender-Based Violence: towards standardization and strengthening quality of services and direct response” is an initiative aiming at reducing the risks of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through women, boys and girls empowerment and improving the quality of multi-sectorial assistance for women and girls survivors or at risk of GBV among the host and Syrian refugee population. BACKGROUND: In order to increase vulnerable women and girls’ (from all nationalities) access to prevention and response services, ABAAD is setting up safe spaces for women and girls in various locations. The Child Care Attendant position in ABAAD’s Women and Girls Safe Spaces program, is responsible for working within the SDDC, conducting simple educational activities to fit the different age groups of the children accompanying their mothers. JOB PURPOSE: The Child Care Attendant is responsible for working within the Women and Girls Safe Space, conducting education activities and art and crafts such as (story-telling, story-reading, painting). The Child Care Attendant will be based in SDC centers, in the Women and Girls Safe Space.   REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports to: WGSS Coordinator KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:          -         Conduct educational activities such as story-reading and store telling. -         Conduct Art and Crafts activities such as drawing, painting and collage. -         Manage small groups of children by guiding them on the use of table games. -         Identify the need of these children and provide accordingly activities that best fit their age group. Other Activities: -         Collaborate closely with ABAAD TEAM at the SDC women and girls safe space. -         Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3 month work plans in a timely manner. -         Participate in weekly internal meetings if advised to do so. -         Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy. -         Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and development.
