     ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality Digital Engagement Officer JOB PROFILE       JOB TITLE: Digital Engagement Officer  DURATION:  6 months (renewable), initial probation of 3 months  LOCATION: Beirut based with travel to Mount Lebanon, North (Akkar), Bekaa (North, West and Central), and South ABAAD   ABAAD PURPOSE: ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. “Ending Gender-Based Violence: towards standardization and strengthening quality of services and direct response” is an initiative aiming at reducing the risks of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through women, boys and girls empowerment and improving the quality of multi-sectorial assistance for women and girls survivors or at risk of GBV among the host and Syrian refugee population.   BACKGROUND: ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. “Ending Gender-Based Violence: towards standardization and strengthening quality of services and direct response” is an initiative aiming at reducing the risks of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through women, boys and girls empowerment and improving the quality of multi-sectorial assistance for women and girls survivors or at risk of GBV among the host and Syrian refugee population.   JOB PURPOSE: The Digital Engagement Officer, will ensure that ABAAD’s mission, vision, values and activities are well known and appreciated digitally by the public and main stakeholders. S/he is responsible for planning, implementing and measuring ABAAD’s visibility, and campaigns on social media. S/he will coordinate with all of the departments and programs within ABAAD at both strategic and tactical levels to build up ABAAD’s reputation and brand identity on social media. The Communication and media associate will work with the Gender and communication program associate to ensure harmonious implementation of all campaigns off-line and online. REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports directly to: Advocacy & Campaigning Coordinator   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -          Develop ABAAD’s digital media strategy; -          Manage and develop content for ABAAD’s social media accounts; (Stories, info graphs, videos etc.); -          Lead on the digital engagement, be responsive and build relationships online with supporters and partners; -          Support on ABAAD’s Digital campaigning work, and ensure that all the online activities are impactful and delivered on time; -          Manage ABAAD’s website and create a high-quality content; -          Work directly with the Gender and Communication Program Associate and all ABAAD’s project team members to ensure that all activities are properly documented and published on social media; -          Identify opportunities to increase ABAAD’s visibility on social media (image/brand); -          Contribute to monthly reports highlighting outcomes from digital performance; -          Measure and increase the impact of ABAAD’s digital engagement by using specific tools as Google Analytics; -          Assist in promoting and disseminating quality information on ABAAD’s produced resources and services on a regular basis and as needed; Other Activities: -          Collaborate closely with ABAAD TEAM; -          Participate in weekly internal meetings if advised to do so; -          Represent ABAAD at specific meetings and events upon management request; -          Other duties as assigned by the manager;     SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: -          University Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, or a relevant field; -          A minimum of 3 years practical experience in managing and developing content for an organization’s social media accounts; -           Experience of using digital media outlets in innovative ways; -          Ability to be proactive in developing plans, activities and relationships with stakeholders; -          Experience with the use of IT, and online monitoring tools (I.e.: Google analytics); -          Excellent communication skills including the ability to write proofread and edit documents; -          Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic. Additional languages are an asset; -          Superior inter-personal communication skills including the ability to work with multi-cultural teams and groups; -          Knowledge and understanding of NGOs and nonprofits and the gender and rights based approach; -          Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision and values of ABAAD mainly related to gender issues ;Experience in GBV programming is a plus;   Women are highly encouraged to apply for this position.
