LOCATION: Beirut, with occasional field visits across Lebanon

ABAAD – Resource Centre for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC-accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region.

 

REPORTING LINES:

Post holder reports to:  ABAAD Director

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Suggest, Develop and curate engaging content in Arabic and English for social media platforms (different formats of posts including visuals, info images, carousels, videos, reels, stories…with engaging captions).
  • Prepare posting schedules for all platforms and post accordingly.
  • Work with other colleagues engaged in ABAAD's media work to ensure content produced is informative and appealing and abides with the organization’s ethics and visibility guidelines.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
  • Interact with the audience and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Practice Social Listening to identify the audience’s needs and online gaps.
  • Identify and contact key stakeholders and influencers to engage with.
  • Stay up to date with new social media trends and best practices.
  • Develop and implement a results-driven social media strategy for ABAAD’s social media platforms and its projects/campaigns.
  • Strategic and technical implementation and management of digital Media platforms in addition to creating, curating, online promotions such as Google Ads, social media ads (FB/IG, YouTube, Twitter, etc.), and programmatic demand-side platforms (DSPs).
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports on social media reach of projects and the organization.
  • The position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

● Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized to ensure flawless execution.

● Must have strong written and verbal English and Arabic communications skills to effectively work with both the team internally and create client-ready reports, as well as assist with adapting and optimizing copy for paid and organic digital advertising efforts.

● An excellent understanding of digital advertising technologies with an ability to quickly jump into new platforms.

● An excellent understanding of paid social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and LinkedIn interface, features, and executional tactics.

● Experience with email media platforms such as MailChimp.

● General ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems related to digital advertising across platforms, analysis tools, and websites.

● Strong analytical skills and ability to provide tactical & strategic recommendations with or without prompt to help make business decisions.

● Analyzing organic search health and opportunities, through a holistic understanding of the interplay between Paid and Organic Search.

● A solid understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manger, and ad platform pixels.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and Arabic)

● At least 4 years of experience working in a digital media role, with agency experience considered an asset.
