ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality Immediate recruitment: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer “Ending Gender-Based Violence: Towards standardization and strengthening quality of services and direct response” JOB PROFILE JOB TITLE: Human Resources Officer DURATION: 1 year (renewable), initial probation of 3 months LOCATION: Beirut based with possible travel to Mount Lebanon, North (Akkar), Bekaa (North, West and Central), and South ABAAD PURPOSE: ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. “Ending Gender-Based Violence: towards standardization and strengthening quality of services and direct response” is an initiative aiming at reducing the risks of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through women, boys and girls empowerment and improving the quality of multi-sectorial assistance for women and girls survivors or at risk of GBV among the host and Syrian refugee population. JOB PURPOSE: The HR Officer will be responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which includes but not limited to recruitment, staffing, performance monitoring and employee counseling. REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports to: Financial Manager KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1- Review, standardize and update all current HR contractual agreements and ensure they are in compliance with ABAAD’s policies and statutory requirements; 2- Monitor and report on work schedules, leave entitlements and all other HR related matters; 3- Prepares employment agreements (both internal and with external consultants) in consultation with the Program Manager and Financial Manager; 4- Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems; 5- Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits; 6- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems 7- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates; 8- Plan, organize, direct, control the personnel, and labor relations activities ; 9- Compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping; 10- Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system; 11- Perform other related duties as required. Other: Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and ABAAD Director SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration; At least 2 years of experience in Administration and Human Resources areas; understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to human rights, gender equality, non-discrimination Flexible pro-active attitude Ability to work well as an individual and in a team Ability to manage an unpredictable workload in a challenging environment Ability to work across socio-cultural and religious contexts Belief in ABAAD’s mission and vision Languages: Fluency in spoken and written Arabic, clear and concise reporting in English is strongly preferred. French is a plus
