Purpose & Function

The Public Health Coordinator is responsible of providing support in the design, plan, implementation, adaptation and follow up on the mental health, sexual and reproductive health (SRHR) and clinical management of rape (CMR) activities and ensuring the overall quality and relevance of these activities, practices and data.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in design and development of new projects and programs
  • Provide technical assistance to implementation, monitoring and supervision of the program
  • Ensure the technical soundness, appropriateness and general quality in project design and planning
  • Coordinate provision of timely responses and guidance in the delivery of programs
  • Provide leadership into the project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; assess the (integration) of activities and outputs, outcomes and impact of program interventions and activities in the program area.
  • Support in developing annual work plans and project plans.
  • Contribute to the development of concept notes and proposals.
  • Ensure M&E and learning in close collaboration with the M&E team,
  • Participate and lead on research related to SRHR, MH and CRM
  • Ensure quality and timely reporting and documenting of project activities including preparation of quarterly/yearly program progress reports

 

 

 

 

Minimum qualifications and professional experience:

  • University Degree: master in public health, concentration in epidemiology/biostatistics is a plus
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant job experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; team player; - Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English; French is a plus
  • Understanding of issues related to ABAAD’s strategic areas of focus (gender equality, GBV, case management, mainstreaming, women empowerment, etc.)
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills, 
  • Experience in working with both the public sector and the local and international civil sectors
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
