ABAAD seeks to promote women's equality and participation through policy development, legal reform, and gender mainstreaming, engaging men, eliminating discrimination, and advancing and empowering women to participate effectively and fully in their communities. ABAAD also seeks to support and collaborate with civil society organizations that are involved in gender equality programs and advocacy campaigns. Job Purpose The Senior Social Worker is responsible of assessing and supporting the needs of the beneficiaries, support social workers and implement activities for targeted beneficiaries.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct interviews with beneficiaries and write up assessments which meet specified standards and time; Participate in training, supervisions and team meetings; Develop individual and collective action plans for beneficiaries; Ensure proper documentation of cases and follow-up processes; Handle emergency helpline 24/7; Manage, coach and orient the social workers; Assist in ensuring effective and close collaboration, coordination and networking with all concerned community stakeholders; Partake in staff meetings and monthly evaluation meetings; Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports. Collaborate closely with other staff to organize and monitor psychosocial activities. Participate in weekly and monthly internal meetings. Gather feedback at the national and community level and share information with supervisor    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: -        University Degree (BA) in social work; -        Minimum Three-year’ experience in similar position; -        Experience in GBV and working with non-government organization is a must -        Good organizational and prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure; -        Leadership, problem solving, and negotiation skills; and strong inter-personal and team working skills including the ability to   manage, liaise and communicate with team members; -        Demonstrated capacity to take initiative and pay attention to details; -        Flexibility, dynamic; initiative-taking; -        Ability to plan workloads and demonstrate accountability for outputs; -        Experience of working in/with non-government organizations; -        Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English are essential- French is a plus; -        Show full respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy   APPLICATION PROCEDURES: Interested candidates in this position should send their CV along with a cover letter, to HR@abaadmena.org and include the job title above in the email subject with specification of area and preference of full-time or part-time position by Sunday, August 28th, 2016 COB. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.  Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
