ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality   For Immediate Recruitment (Multiple Positions)/ (Part & Full Time)    Senior Social Worker Duration: 1 year (Renewable)   JOB PROFILE     JOB TITLE:   Senior Social Worker   DURATION: 1 year (renewable), initial probation of 3 months   LOCATION: Beirut, North (Akkar), Bekaa (North, West and Central), and South Lebanon JOB DESCRIPTION ABAAD is a non-profit, non-politically affiliated, non-religious civil association that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD seeks to promote women's equality and participation through policy development, legal reform, and gender mainstreaming, engaging men, eliminating discrimination, and advancing and empowering women to participate effectively and fully in their communities. ABAAD also seeks to support and collaborate with civil society organizations that are involved in gender equality programs and advocacy campaigns. Job Purpose The Senior Social Worker is responsible to ensure appropriate case management services, support social workers and implement specialized PSS activities for targeted beneficiaries.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Specialized GBV Case Management Ensure management of cases of women survivors of GBV and those at risk- beneficiaries; Develop individual and collective action plans for beneficiaries; Ensure proper documentation of cases and follow-up processes; Handle emergency helpline 24/7; Manage, coach and orient the social workers; Assist in ensuring effective and close collaboration, coordination and networking with all concerned community stakeholders; Partake in staff meetings and monthly evaluation meetings; Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports. Psychosocial Activities Collaborate closely with other staff to organize psychosocial activities; Assess communities with psychosocial needs and make recommendations for the provision of psychosocial activities; Design and roll-out weekly psycho-social activities when needed; Recommend the initiation of age appropriate and psychosocial activities for women and adolescent girls; Liaise with consultants for organization of group psycho-social activities (such as art therapy, music therapy, mother and child activities…etc); Implement community outreach activities about GBV and other related activities as needed. Coordination: Participate in weekly and monthly internal meetings; Gather feedback at the national and community level and share information with supervisor.    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: -        University Degree (BA) in social work; -        Minimum Three-year’ experience in similar position; -        Experience in GBV case management and working with non-government organization is a must -        Experience in GBV programming, and demonstrated gender sensitivity; -        Good organizational and prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure; -        Leadership, problem solving, and negotiation skills; -        Strong inter-personal and team working skills including the ability to manage, liaise and communicate with team members; -        Demonstrated capacity to take initiative and pay attention to details; -        Flexibility, dynamic; initiative-taking; -        Ability to plan workloads and demonstrate accountability for outputs; -        Experience of working in/with non-government organizations; -        Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English are essential- French is a plus; -        Show full respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy   APPLICATION PROCEDURES: Interested candidates in this position should send their CV along with a cover letter, to HR@abaadmena.org and include the job title above in the email subject with specification of area and preference of full-time or part-time position by Tuesday, April 12, 2016 COB. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
