Acted is pleased to announce the opening of applications for five community initiatives across the governorates of Beirut Mount Lebanon, South, and Nabatieh. These initiatives focus on the current situation involving displacements of populations throughout Lebanon, with specific emphasis on rapid emergency response. Priority will be given to local initiatives responding to urgent community needs, as they are often the best equipped to respond to and meet urgent community needs during crises.
Who Can Apply?
Community initiatives are eligible to apply if they meet the following criteria:
- Operate within the governorates of Beirut, Mount Lebanon (all districts), South (Saida and Jezzine districts), or Nabatieh (Hasbaya district).
- Focus on one of the following sectors: Basic needs support and emergency response or promoting social cohesion and stability. Proposed initiatives can cover a range of activities, such as improving local services, community spaces, or carrying out small-scale infrastructure rehabilitation
- Be ready to commit to project requirements, including attending training sessions, implementing activities, and coordinating with the project team.
- Initiatives benefit both displaced and host populations.
Priority will be given to initiatives that:
- Possess prior experience in implementing similar activities.
- Are officially registered.
- Contribute to the inclusion of diverse groups, including persons with disabilities.
- Rely on local resources and support the local economy.
- Target a large number of beneficiaries (at least 660 people per initiative) and achieve a broader social impact.
