Project Background

The project will empower 40 MSMEs/Cooperatives through gender equality training, technical assessment of damage and/or resource assessments, and the creation of tailored support plans to help businesses restore essential functions, resume operations, and re-establish income-generating activities, along with in-kind assistance aligned with each enterprise’s specific needs, such as disrupted supply chains, damaged infrastructure, and limited access to financial resources. These plans will emphasize building resilience and incorporating climate adaptation measures. In addition to light repairs and in-kind support to restore business functionality, the approach ensures that businesses are better equipped to promote gender equality. It will also include training in access to finance (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises -SMEs) and financial literacy and entrepreneurship training (Micro Enterprises) by Al Majmoua.
