The Life-skill trainer is responsible for delivering advanced IT training for women at the SDC Msaitbeh.
**Please note: This is a local position. Only Lebanese citizens are eligible to apply.**
Functions
Train Women on life skills
Provide digital literacy training to women at SDC Msaitbeh
Advanced
Advanced Word
Advanced excel exercises
Data Entry including Excel, word, transcription etc
Introduction to social media and SEO
Web directory and Job search (provide them with websites and guide them how to apply)
Expected from Contractor
The contractor is expected to ensure the following:
Attend the entire contract period:
Course cycle: Each class (group of students) will follow 2 2-hour classes per week, or a total of 36 hours.
Trainer hours: The trainer will provide trainings twice a week for 2 hours (9:00am-11:00 am) OR (12:00-2:00pm) from beginning of June 2017 to end July 2017, for a total working hours of 36 hours over 2 months (18 hours per month).
Provide samples of Training books/material for distribution
Supervise the work of the women during the training
Encourage women to work in a positive friendly environment
Be patient and positive and provide explanation when necessary
Coordinate with SDC Director and Project Coordinator with all updates related to the implementation process.
In addition to the above, kindly note the following:
The beneficiaries’ drop-out is to be taken into account, so courses should be adapted to beneficiary needs.
Training hours must be decided in consultation with interested beneficiaries to maximize attendance and avoid drop outs.
Expected Deliverables
One Basic Computer curriculum of the duration of 32 hours ;
Curriculum design for the full course content to be delivered one week prior to start of training;
The training calendar with session titles;
The Facilitator’s Guide organized by training sessions describing with the support of project officer.
Session topic;
Learning objectives;
List of key contents and talking points;
Sequence of steps to deliver the session;
List of required materials to be submitted one week prior to the training;
Attendance sheets of each training day;
Target audience and profile
The training will be delivered to a small group of Lebanese women aged 18-55, with basic literacy, numeracy and computer efficiency.
Beneficiaries’ selection will be carried out by ACTED protection officer as in reference to ACTED’s targeting criteria.
Experience required:
Previous experience in delivering IT trainings, preferably to women groups.
Advanced Microsoft Office and SEO skills.
Certification in IT skills preferred but not required.
