Functions
The Project Coordinator will be fully responsible of the management and implementation of ACTED’s Agricultural program funded by WFP. This will include: Program planning, reporting on daily implementation, managing teams, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders (local authorities, finance officer, program staff, and targeted community beneficiaries).
The Agriculture Project Coordinator shall be responsible for:
- Assessment of target communities
- Developing community assessment methodology in coordination with the AME department/Program Coordinator
- Conducting preliminary interviews with municipality representatives to present the project objectives
- Conducting needs assessment in target areas in collaboration with local authorities
- Analyzing assessment results and developing recommended project methodologies
- Implementation of agricultural activities
- Develop detailed workplan and overseeing the implementation of agricultural activities and updating work plan accordingly on a weekly basis;
- Providing daily and weekly progress reports and a bi-weekly update of the PMF;
- Ensuring that project activities are in line with ACTED’s program strategy, and in particular programs are climate smart and mitigate risk;
- Coordination and external representation
- Attending area-level coordination meetings to avoid duplication of activities with other agencies
- Coordinating with the Food Security Sector
- Coordinating with Donor
- Compliance with ACTED FLAT procedures
- Review of Budget Follow Up and liaising on regular basis with finance department to ensure all project expenditures are in line with budget forecasts
- Supporting the AME department in conducting monitoring and evaluation activities;
- Closely coordinate with M&E department on activities and data
- Ensure data received from officers are reliable and cleaned before sending to M&E and database department
- Accountability to Communities and Beneficiaries
The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner. Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about ACTED programme objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies. This is the responsibility of every ACTED staff member.
- Requirements
- Fluent in Arabic, with excellent written and verbal English skills
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate excel and computer skills
- Independent, adaptable, reliant, punctual, and structured
- Bachelor Degree Agricultural studies – particularly in food processing
Experience in project management and technical implementation
- Lebanon
