FUNCTIONS
1. DATA COLLECTION, MAPPING AND DATA ENTRY
The Enumerator will carry out field data collection and office-based data entry for the relevant MSNA assessment as required. Their responsibilities will include:
Collecting data and information in the field through interviews of key informants and community members, focus group discussions, field visits and surveys, in line with the MSNA Assessment Methodology;
Carrying out debriefing sessions with Junior assessment officer upon completion of data collection;
Ensuring transparent, accurate and timely collection of quantitative and qualitative data and information;
Supporting geo-referencing of all surveys conducted in the field as required by the MSNA Assessment Methodology;
Cross-checking information accuracy in adherence with the data checking guidelines to ensure correct data entry; this includes direct follow-up with assessment participants where necessary;
Filling the data accurately including all notes collected from the field using kobo/papers …;
Communicating data collection activities to assessment participants according to data collection plan; maintaining effective relationships with assessment participants.
2. REPORTING
The enumerator is also required in providing clear report of information from the field accurately to the Field officer. In regards to reporting, the enumerator will be responsible for:
Providing daily reports to the Field officer on the progress of the implementation of the assessment activities and on relevant observations during the mission;
Transcribing accurately responses from primary data collection (interviews and focus group discussions) and provide English transcriptions to the Field officer when returning from the field;
Communicating any issues encountered during data collection immediately to Field officer
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English
High School diploma
Previous experience working for a humanitarian organization and/or work experience in data collection desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to pro-actively engage assessment participants and form effective relationships
High ability to adapt to field setting; motivation to work in a challenging environment requiring personal flexibility
Strong team player of high integrity; communicates constructively with co-workers and managers and responds positively to instructions and procedures; coordinates own work with others and reflects own work within overall context of project and team’s work; willing to undertake additional responsibilities; contributes to a collegial team environment; demonstrates a high level of personal commitment to team’s work
Performs assigned tasks in a timely and consistent manner
Demonstrates attention to detail: follows detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation and data; concentrates on routine work details; approaches tasks in an organized and structured manner
Notifies supervisor of problems encountered during field work in a timely manner; actively contributes to problem-solving

The Daily Worker is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner. Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about ACTED programme objectives, activities, and methodologies. This is the responsibility of every IMPACT staff member.
