The Field officer is in charge of implementing project outreach and distributions to targeted households in their designated area. The field officer will work under the supervision of the Senior Field Officer to ensure that targets are reached in their area of intervention for rent assistance, distribution of vouchers for hygiene items, distribution of basic construction materials, and cash transfers for winter items.
Functions
The Field Officer will be responsible for implementing project distributions as per program guidelines and will directly undertake and document the following tasks;
Negotiate approval from private landowners to conduct rehabilitation works and ensure agreement is drafted and signed before rehabilitation is done;
Negotiate agreement for long term lease at a fixed rent with landlords for rent assistance and ensure formal agreement is drafted and signed ;
Assist in record keeping, assembly, and distribution of basic construction material kits;
Direct contact of beneficiaries through phone communication or household visits;
Ensure all project documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner;
Notifies Senior Field Officer in case of any problem or obstacle in the field;
Inform relevant ACTED focal points of any security threats or incidents in the field;
Skills required
- Experience in outreach or community work
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in distribution or logistics is preferred
- Experience working with local authorities an asset
- Experience in supervising construction works is an asset
- English or French language skills preferred
