Finance Intern

Assignment

Under the supervision of the Country Finance Manager the finance intern will assist the finance team in order to reach accountability and reporting requirements of the organisation, together with delivering detailed data analysis to help management’s decision-making.

 

Functions

The Finance Intern shall be responsible for:

 

Production of analytical tools for our monthly reporting to HQ in Paris

Budget Follow Up – ACTED is currently involved in 10 projects which require monthly follow up of expenses and forecasts

Review of documentation compliance with rules and regulations defined by the donors

Check of documentation compliance with public rules and regulations in Lebanon

Financial reporting to donors

Relationship with international and local NGOs working with ACTED

Mid-Year accounting closure

Support continual improvement of WG and DTs by capturing and sharing key challenges, articulating obstacles and proposed solutions, and identifying success stories to highlight.

 

 

Knowledge, skills

Financial background, understanding of accounting mechanisms

Good excel skills are necessary for analysis and reporting

Good relationship with people, finance is a central department in the organization and you will be involved with multiple people, plus external relation with other NGOs and potentially donors
