Video Production Supervisor

Project Background:

As part of the project “Enhancing the inclusivity of the LGBTI community in workplaces in Lebanon”, which is funded by the European Instrument for Democracy & Human Rights (EIDHR), ACTED has selected MIDAL to implement a campaign focused on promoting human rights and inclusion of the LBGTQI+ community in the workplace. Therefore, the selected applicant will sign a contract with ACTED but will work for MIDAL.

About MIDAL:

MIDAL "Mediterranean Initiatives for development and Leadership" is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers. The organization runs social, educational, relief, livelihoods, protection programs, women and youth empowerment, to serve as an inclusive and supportive organization for the entire community.

Assignment:

MIDAL is seeking a “Video Production Supervisor” to help three youth groups of 20 each in three different locations in the South of Lebanon (Nabatieh, Hasbayya and Marj’youn) to produce 15 short campaign videos that will be posted on social media.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

In close coordination with MIDAL, the Video Production Supervisor’s responsibilities are as follows:

• Manage and oversee video pre-production planning and on-site production activities for 15 short videos.
• Assist youth in drafting the ideas of the videos and scripts.
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator on the ideas of the videos before filming.
• Supervise video production process in close coordination with the video editor.
• Prepare social media activation campaign.
• Supervise the social media video boosting process.

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Proven experience in video production including, filming, script writing, editing…
• Strong experience in social media and content production (video production, photography and interactive content)
• Previous experience in coaching or managing youth groups
• Previous experience working with or for CSOs and/or NGOs is a plus
• Working experience in a multicultural context
• Proficiency in Arabic language (oral/written) mandatory

Video Production Supervisors are expected to be available from 1 January 2021 until 15 February 2021. Please note that these are projected dates for scheduling purposes subject to further clarification on the specific dates of training.
