Wash Project Officer

I. Background ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is an international NGO founded in 1993 and headquartered in Paris. ACTED provides relief assistance to victims of conflict and vulnerable populations. Its activities range from emergency relief to development projects. ACTED has implemented more than 300 projects in 35 countries spread over Africa, Central Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.  II. Assignment  The Project Officer will be fully responsible of the management of the project at land. This will include: Planning, reporting daily technical implementation, and coordinating with relevant parties (Partner NGOs, local authorities, finance officer, project staff, and beneficiaries) III. Responsibilities Reports directly to Area Coordinator Prepares daily weekly and monthly action plan Follow up on regular basis with finance officer on all financial related matters of the project Manages & monitors the Project Staff Manages & monitors the Data base. Conducts regular field visits to ensure proper monitoring of implementation Attends all coordination and Shelter meetings, and report back summarized information. Supports partners to conduct baseline surveys. Supports partners to conduct detail feasibility studies in strategic sites. Supports Area Coordinator in monitoring progress and evaluation of project activities including financial performances  IV. Knowledge, skills Providing technical support to the team and organization. Good command of English and the ability to work in an international context Excellent organizational and writing/numerical skills Excellent inter-personal skills Adaptable, flexible and hard working.  V.   Qualifications and Experience   Bachelor Degree with experience in project management and technical implementation Strong communication and analytical skills and good in spoken and written English Computer literate Enthusiasm for working with vulnerable communities living in rural and remote areas of the country. Experience in project management WASH technical expertise Knowledge of WASH system Knowledge of Sanitory system Knowledge of reviewing BoQs Ability to supervise technicians
