Under the supervision of ACF Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Head of Project, the Cash for Work Supervisor is responsible to provide assistance in, and assume responsibility for, the daily technical planning, supervision, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project and for ensuring proper coordination with the community and municipalities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
The Cash for Work supervisor will be responsible for achieving the following 3 objectives:
Objective one: Supervision of Cash for Work activities
Support "ACF FSL Head of Project" instead of management and oversight of the Cash for Work project, to ensure that it is completed within the given timeline and achieves the stated objectives;
Support the design and planning process for the project;
Assist with effective information dissemination on the new project;
Coordinate with the Cash for Work team, municipalities and the Head of Project in the identification of suitable Cash for Work initiatives;
Work on the identification and selection of project beneficiaries;
Participate in identification and selection of an appropriate cash transfer service provider;
Ensure that the weekly/monthly work plan is respected on the field;
Ensure regular coordination at the municipality level;
Liaise with the ACF Food Security and Livelihoods Head Of Project, Logistics and Administration department regarding financial projections, procurement, payments and necessary documentation.
Objective Two: Team Management
Support the Head of Project with team management
Manage, supervise and monitor the field officer staff under his/her supervision;
Participate in staff training, to build the technical capacity of staff and associates in the area of Cash for Work;
Assist organize and run weekly/monthly coordination meetings together with field team, the municipalities and the Head of project;
Objective Three: Reporting
Draft weekly and monthly reports;
Report on the progress of the work to the Head of Project;
Report issues and constraints arising from project implementation;
Identify areas for possible project improvement;
Analyse project data.
Knowledge and experience Required:
BA in social Science and experience in environmental issues and waste management are required.
Minimum of three year's experience in a related field
Experience with participatory methodologies, monitoring and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision
Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Access)
Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is a must.
