Action Against Hunger, is a humanitarian non-governmental international organization committed to taking action against the root causes and consequences of hunger through both advocacy and programming initiatives in Lebanon.  We offer development support and humanitarian responses, addressing the fundamental needs of both incoming and host populations. We operate across the country but in the Bekaa Valley, our focus includes the delivery of water and sanitation services, hygiene promotion, food security, nutrition, and emergency interventions.

ACF is gathering a pool of interested daily workers to support our emergency operations in the Bekaa and Baalbek Hermel governorates as (Driver), based on need and available funds.

The Daily Driver is responsible for providing daily transportation services for staff, goods, and supplies within the Bekaa region, ensuring passenger safety by adhering to road safety and traffic laws.

3. Job Description:

· The driver will be responsible for providing daily transportation services for staff, goods, and supplies within the Bekaa region.

· Ensuring the safety of all passengers by adhering to road safety and traffic laws is a critical part of the job.

· The driver will conduct daily checks on the vehicle, including monitoring fuel levels, oil, water, tire pressure, and reporting any issues to the fleet manager.

· Accurate record-keeping in a logbook for each trip, including details on mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents, is required.

· Driver may be required to assist with loading and unloading goods as part of their daily tasks.

· Adhering to the organization’s security protocols, especially when traveling in areas with potential risks, is mandatory.

· Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the daily worker’s abilities.

· Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan.

· Knowledge and compliance with ACF code of conduct and safeguarding policy

· Promote safe and equitable environments, through knowledge and application of the protocol against harassment and gender policy.

4. Qualifications:

- Driver's License: A valid Lebanese driver's license is required.

- Familiarity with the Bekaa region's roads and routes is essential.

- Proficiency in Arabic is important for effective communication (English is a plus).

- The role may involve handling heavy loads, so the candidate should be in good physical condition.

- Reliability and Flexibility: The position requires reliability and the ability to work independently. Flexibility to work on short notice, including weekends, may also be necessary.

Remuneration Package:

· Daily wage:

Full Working Day 35 USD A Total of 6 working hours per day

Half Working Day 18 USD A Total of 3 Working hours per day

· Working days:

Maximum 9 days/month according to the Lebanese labor law
