Daily Workers - WASH, Nutrition, FSL and Basic assistance (Pool for BML, Akkar and Tripoli)

Action against Hunger is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for Action against Hunger in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation. 

In Lebanon, the Syrian crisis continues to generate political, social and economic pressure due to the war in Lebanon and keeps more than 1.5 million refugees in a situation of increasing vulnerability. In this environment of political, economic and social uncertainty, our teams have maintained their high levels of humanitarian response and aid to Lebanon. Likewise, our interventions have been maintained in the Bekaa and northern areas, as well as in the south of the country, with a special focus on working in partnership or in consortium with other organizations and on institutional strengthening of the relationship with both donors. institutional, such as with local authorities and entities.  

Action Against Hunger (ACF) is seeking dynamic and active daily workers to support outreach and the implementation of daily field activities. The role will be carried out under the supervision of ACF Field Officer/Supervisor, with a focus on delivering assigned tasks and objectives on time and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach activities and support daily project field implementation.
  • Respond to WASH/Shelter/FSL/Nutrition and BA Emergency related activities
  • Work collaboratively with project teams in an efficient and organized manner, prioritizing needs and targets.
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely reporting on field activities and progress.
  • Support project teams in assessing needs related to WASH, Shelter, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Nutrition, and Basic Assistance.
  • Assist in the implementation of response activities based on identified needs.
  • Oversee and support the delivery of assistance at collective shelter and community levels.
  • Coordinate with other field teams as needed to ensure effective implementation and progress toward shared project goals.
  • Quality monitoring of the activities, needs analysis and adapting approaches, accountability.

Do you meet the profile required criteria?

  • Knowledge in any of the following: Cash based program, Nutrition, Food security, Water supply and sanitation supply systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks covering different objectives.
  • Knowledge of community work with direct contact with vulnerable or at risk communities.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to manage stress effectively.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Very good Communicator with good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent Arabic, Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and good skills in smart phones.
  • Experience in the humanitarian sector is desirable.
