Field Assistant

Action Against Hunger, an International NGO
operating in Lebanon since 2006, is looking for Field assistant. These positions are short
term: only 9 working days/month.

CONDITIONS:

·      Area of intervention: Baalbeck
District, North Bekaa

·       Period: October, November
and December 2018

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Conduct
Household Assessments under the direction of the team leaders using designated
tools on tablets.

·       Conduct Kits
distribution under the supervision of the team leaders

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·       Experience working with NGO on field duties.  

·       Previous experience of research and assessments. 

·       Familiar with Smartphones and Android devices.

·       Ability and willingness to travel daily to remote areas and villages in North Bekaa (transport from/to the Zahle office organized by Action Against Hunger)

·    Ability and willingness to work most of the day outside, going from house to house.

DETAILED OBJECTIVES, TASKS AND TRAININGS

Objective 1: Conduct HH interviews on designed
tools/formats

• Performing day-to-day
  data collection activities.
• Scheduling time(s)
  with households to complete the survey questionnaire.
• Data Collection on
  community profile questionnaire using 123survey
• Daily data collection
  from field
• Collect data from
  targeted respondents through electronic data collection system (Open Data
  Kit) on Android tablets.
• To assist in data
  filtration and documentation

Objective 2: Record information on the data
collecting tool and keep it confidential

• Conducting
  confidential data collection activities using a tablet/other tools.
• Ensuring that all data
  captured is kept physically secure at all times.

Objective 3: Coordination

• Participate in daily
  meetings before leaving for field
• Work closely with MEAL
  Department for data collection execution
• Communicate aims and
  objectives of the study with community and respondents
• Establish a good
  understanding of the program within the Community

Objective 4: Distribution
and crowd management

• Participate and
  support field officers in the distribution of kits
• Support and manage the
  crowd
• Ensure the safe
  picking and receipt all kits to beneficiaries

Trainings (during working
hours, participation will be mandatory)

  data collection tools
