MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES The Field Officer Supervisor will work directly with refugee communities and direct beneficiaries. The Field Officer Supervisor will follow daily activities of the Field Officers and will work in close relationship with the monitoring and evaluation supervisor, the monitoring and evaluation officers and other ACF field staff to ensure good quality of works. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND TASKS Objective 1: Ensure distribution of relief items Organize the distribution of e-cards: receiving the e-cards, preparing lists, identifying distribution centers, informing beneficiaries. Ensure ACF-E standards and principles are met during distributions Distribute the e-cards during distribution days; Organize distribution of other items upon request Represent the project and communicate its objectives correctly to beneficiaries Objective 2: Supervise Field Officers: Plan and supervise the activities of Field Officers together with Head of Project; Ensure good understanding of project objectives by filed officers Schedule team meetings when necessary Follow daily reports of field officers Identify training needs for the project staff and report to the Head of Project Train field officers together with the Head of Project for better implementation of project activities Objective 3: Monitor all field activities Follow up on complaints; Perform field monitoring visits to shops in order to monitor the shops performance, prices, use of e-cards, availability of good qualities and standards; Perform household monitoring to beneficiaries; Monitor all activities of the project; Maintain constant contact with beneficiaries (receive their requests, provide available information, etc.); Objective 4: Conduct Assessments on food security and livelihoods Conduct market assessments including price monitoring and market mapping Conduct household interviews, key informant interviews and focus groups discussions on food security and livelihoods issues under the supervision of Head of Project Participate in other assessments upon request Objective 5: Reporting Collect weekly reports from staff; Report progress of the work, HR issues, security concerns and other identified food security and livelihoods issues to the Project Manager; Support the Head of Project in monthly reports Objective 6: Support Head of Project in Meetings and Other Tasks Support the Head of Project in food security and livelihoods related internal and external coordination meetings in Bekaa Attend food security related internal and external food security and livelihoods related coordination meetings in the absence of Head of Project. Support the Head of Project in managing the team, planning activities and other tasks where necessary. This job description is not exhaustive and may be changed or amended by the Head of Project when necessary, depending on the program needs. Due to the emergency context, the field officer can be requested to participate to any other food security and cash related activities identified according to the humanitarian needs. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS At least 1 year experience in humanitarian action. Required skills Adequate level of understanding of participatory approaches, good social skills, good skills in listening and reporting, good organizational skills, fluency in Arabic and English, good computer skills in Excel/Word/Outlook are required Desired skills: Adaptation capacity and flexibility in an unpredictable context. Empathetic and patient, good team spirit and ability to work in a team or independently according to the situation. Good knowledge of the area and local customs is strongly requested.
