FSL Supervisor

Key activities in your role will include

Objective 1: To ensure timely and quality implementation of FSL activities (60%)

  • To support Head of Project (HoP) in design of the beneficiary selection process
  • To supervise the field officers in the beneficiary selection process on daily basis and to actively support the process
  • To ensure coordination of activities with the staff of the municipalities in targeted areas and to communicate any issues with the HoP
  • To supervise the field officers in conducting the livelihoods activities (input distribution, trainings, set up, maintenance, monitoring, reporting, etc.)
  • Ensure good understanding of project objectives by filed officers
  • Identify training needs for the project staff and report to the Head of Project. Train field officers together with the Head of Project for better implementation of project activities
  • To actively support ACF’s implementing partner in conducting their livelihoods activities in the area
  • To represent Head of Project on daily encounters with other program stakeholders
  • To provide verbal and written reports on the activities to the HoP on the agreed frequency. Collect weekly reports from staff, Report progress of the work, HR issues, security concerns and other identified food security and livelihoods issues to the HoP, and support the Head of Project in monthly reports
  • To Organize the distribution of e-cards: receiving the e-cards, preparing lists, identifying distribution centers, informing beneficiaries.

Objective 2:  To ensure timely implementation and follow up of food security and livelihoods activities. (30%)

  • To organize community meetings, focus group discussions and assessments to identify the needs of the host and refugee populations upon the request of HoP
  • To support the implementation of other food security and livelihoods activities upon
  • the request of HoP
  • To provide the HoP with technical input in the design of other FSL related trainings and actively engage in their implementation
  • To support the HoP in the planning of food security and livelihoods program items
  • To supervise the field officers in implementation of the distribution plans and to actively engage in the process
  • To provide verbal and written reports on the activities to the HoP on the agreed frequency

Objective 3:  To support other humanitarian activities of ACF upon the request of the PM.(10%)

  • Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.
  • Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.
  • Promote gender equality within the humanitarian and/or development work

Objective 4:  Security

  • Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.
  • Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan.

 

 

Do you meet the profile required criteria?

Training/ Education: 

  • BS in Agricultural or Environmental Sciences

Technical specific knowledge:

  • Solid Waste Management

Previous experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in humanitarian and development organizations
  • Experience in livelihoods programs
  • Experience in labor intensive programs and cash-based interventions is important.

Personal requirements:       

  • Good leadership skills
  • Good listening skills
  • High communication skills
  • Context analysis
  • Flexibility and problem resolution

Languages:   

  • Arabic and English are compulsory

IT and specific systems:

  • Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and power point

  • National

 

Our remuneration package:

We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:

  • Salary range from USD1,497  to USD 1,772 basic per month according to the candidate’s previous experience (based on the standard list of Action Against Hunger - Spain)
  • Salary progression based on the annual development appraisal
  • LBP 8,000 daily transportation allowance on working days
  • Social security registration and NSSF family allowance if eligible
