Human Resources Officer - Tyre

  • To support in implementing the current HR policies and package in Tyre. 
  • To ensure proper administration for compensation and benefits, contracts Management, employment policies, personnel record-keeping, workers compensation and medical benefits. 
  • Full recruitment cycle.
  • HR Archiving.
  • Training follow up and support.
  • Coordination with HR department in Beirut.
  • Support in facilitation of HR initiatives in Tyre.

Objective 1: Recruitment processes in Tyre.

  • Work closely with the HR officer in Beirut for all recruitments in the base
  • Shortlisting for suitable candidates
  • Conducting interviews
  • Conducting tests, reference checks, and administrative part of a recruitment process in the base.
  • Prepare job offers for validation by HR Coordinator
  • Effective and timely communication with all candidates
  • Ensure recruitment procedures are properly followed and implemented at base level
  • Proper and timely reporting on recruitments to the coordination office, in addition to keeping updated track for all processes at the base
  • Proper archiving and documentation for recruitment processes in HRIS and other platforms.

Objective 2: Contracts management

  • New contracts, contract extensions, and exits
  • Employment letters.
  • Support deputy head of base in disciplinary actions
  • Follow up the NSFF requirement at base level and prepare all documents requested by employees
  • Prepare payroll for the base
  • Share pay slips with employees on monthly basis and ensure they are all signed and kept in the file.
  • Keep updated employment records
  • Follow up for medical insurance at the base and timely coordination with the capital HR Manager in Beirut
  • In charge of the annual evaluations process and annual increases
  • Proper archiving and documentation.
  • Provide requested documents by auditor (internal and external)

Objective 3: Trainings at the base

  • Collaborate with the HR Officer in Beirut in keeping updated training records and follow up including the annual training plan, feedback forms, and attendance sheets
  • Proper archiving and documentation

Objective 4:  Onboarding and Induction

  • Ensure proper inductions and onboarding for all new employees at the base
  • Plan and book briefing schedules with all managers at the base
  • Keep updated onboarding checklist

Objective 5:  HR Initiatives

  • Present the base in all HR meetings
  • Ensure HR initiatives shared by the HR Coordinator are properly implemented and followed up
  • HR tools: HRIS, Virtual campus, Payroll software, excel trackers, power point presentations, organogram, contact list

Objective 6: Security

  • Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.
  • Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan

Objective 7: Support humanitarian activities of Action Against Hunger

  • Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.
  • Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.
  • Promote Gender Balance in teams when recruiting 

Training:

Degree in Business Management, Human resources, or any relevant field,

Technical specific knowledge:

  • Lebanese Labor Law, HR Practices, NSSF Law, Income Tax

Previous experience (years):

3 years in human resources management

Humanitarian sector knowledge:

At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role in an INGO (s).

Organization knowledge:

Is a plus

Languages:

Arabic and English

IT systems:

MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, web applications, HRIS, payroll softwares.
