Hygiene Promotor

Assignment: Participate in hygiene campaign, participate in house to house HP, prepare written material for the field, elaborate clear and adapted message for beneficiaries. Support in all other wash activities implemented by ACF. Required skills : Initiative, strong communication skills, availability/learning capacity – Ability to work in a team, interpersonal qualities and diplomacy –organized and rigorous – flexible with respect to job priority – Agrees with the principles and objectives of ACF. . Experience in hygiene promotion, work with local communities, children and vulnerable people, experience in community mobilization and participation, experience in a similar position, Computer skills (Microsoft Office), Fluent Arabic, Very good English level (written, reading and writing Objective 1 : Elaboration of hygiene promotion material. Activities : -          Identify the most appropriate message regarding the target population. -          Write clearly and  understandable message. -          Evaluate the necessary material needed for a campaign/activity. -          Identify problems.   Objective 2: House to house visit and hygiene campaign.  Activities : -          Mobilise the community to change behaviour regarding hygiene practice. -          Convince all household of the importance of good hygiene practice. -          Ensure the work is properly done and the material use wisely. -          Participate in hygiene campaign, doing shows in schools and at community level. -          Animate focus group, giving clear message on good hygiene practice.   Objective 3: Reporting. Activities : Report the Progress of the work to the supervisor Report possible problem or conflist during the activites Repirt the use of materials and possible improvment Data collection regarding the project and the potenials beneficiaries  Regular reporting to Hygiene Promotion Manager.   Objective 4: Other water and sanitation Activities -          Conduct house hold assessment. -          Distribution of water and sanitation items. -          Support other field officer during construction or other activities.   Objective 5: Others Activities -          Respect of ACF Charter and internal rule -          Be committed to participate to any other work in order to achieved the project goal -          This job description is not exhaustive and may be changed or       amended by the Head of Project when necessary, according to the base needs.
