It is entirely free. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee, monitor and provide technical nutrition support to Action Against Hunger’s programs in Lebanon. Support the identification and development of new proposals under the nutrition security strategy. Represent Action Against Hunger in front of the nutrition and health stakeholders (platforms, working groups, discussions…) in Lebanon in addition to the local authorities. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASK Objective 1 : Programming Ensure the technical relevance and quality of the health and nutrition related interventions mainstreamed through Food Security & Livelihoods and WASH programs. *** Support in analysing the field data and suggest adaptations if required *** Follow-up and support the field activities *** Along with the relevant Action Against Hunger staff, check and improve the tools used in the management of the nutrition-related projects, methodologies and forms *** Review, consolidate and circulate Action Against Hunger internal monthly reporting on nutrition *** Capitalise the experiences and develop good practices and success stories *** Follow partnerships at the field and national levels and suggest possible opportunities. Objective 2 : Proposal development and reporting Identify future needs through formal and informal assessment and data collection from primary and secondary sources *** Support the design and development of new projects *** Assess new funding opportunities and inform the relevant line manager *** Along with Regional Nutritionist/HQ technical referent, write and review the concept notes and proposals. Ensure the coherence with the Action Against Hunger strategy, relevant national issues and local priorities & needs *** Complete any report for local authorities and ensure the diffusion of report/information to partners and stakeholders. Objective 3 : Strategy Be fully aware of Action Against Hunger technical policies, position papers, modules and protocols and promote them *** Collect and update information on nutrition indicators, actors and activities nationwide for analysis and identification of future potential areas, partners and programmatic priorities *** Contribute, along with the Coordination team, to perform a comprehensive country analysis, engaging with the relevant stakeholders with tailored tactics aiming at achieving programmatic and advocacy objectives *** Ensure a regular update of the strategy indicators. Inform the Coordination Team on contextual changes that may impact the strategy Objective 4 : Capacity Building Support the identification of training needs, especially with regards to nutrition security *** Develop presentation / tools for training to the staff based on the periodic evaluation and project/program needs *** Organize and provide ad-hoc training to the team *** Support the team by providing regular technical mentoring including field visits, regular meetings, case debriefing Objective 5  : Representation and Coordination Participate in the coordination meetings with external stakeholders and in particular the nutrition working group *** Represent Action Against Hunger for internal / external coordination at the capital level for department related issues *** Act as Action Against Hunger focal point, at the national level, on nutrition related matters *** Support the organization with donor / HQ visit to the country/field when needed *** Document points highlighted during the meetings and actions recommended *** Communicate directly with the technical department of the headquarters in Madrid and the Regional Office in Amman, providing the requested information, answering its request and/or requesting their advice / validation in case of need *** Liaise with the Advocacy Officer to progress in the implementation of the strategy and relation with external stakeholders Objective 6  : Security Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols *** Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or non-compliance with the security plan Objective 7 : Support to Action Against Hunger humanitarian goals Support emergency interventions, as per the employee's capacities *** Support any activity that helps achieving Action Against Hunger humanitarian goals, as per the employee's capacities. REQUIRED SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required Competences : Motivation / Team player / Effective Communication / Problem Solving / Adaptability and Flexibility / Negotiation / Strategic Vision / Analytical Capacity Key requirements include : Strategic thinking and capacity to identify gaps and possible opportunities, positioning Action Against Hunger strategically in the country. Demonstrated representation capacity, networking and/or advocacy in the field of nutrition – with UN agencies (WFP, UNICEF), within cluster (or assimilated) systems, key competitors (INGOs/ NGOs), donors (ECHO, USAID, others), governments (MoH) etc. Experience in analysing data and proposal development (writing, revising, editing), additional asset Experience in the management of nutrition programs in emergency and post-emergency situations. IYCF experience in emergency as well as CMAM experience. Experience in Mental Health/Care Practices and on Health system strengthening would be an asset Fluent in Arabic and English  Computer skills : Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint
