Nutrition Assistant - Bekaa

Under the supervision of the Community Nutrition Officer (CNO), the Nutrition Assistant is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring nutrition activities, with a particular focus on screening of children, pregnant, and lactating women to identify, provide treatment for children with stunting and refer children with wasting for treatment  The Nutrition Assistant will ensure proper coordination and collaboration with municipalities, PHCCs, NGOs, beneficiaries and related Action Against Hunger departments.  The Nutrition Assistant will work hand in hand with CNOs and community mobilizers to achieve the objectives of the project.

To support the identification of implementing sites to establish screening and prevention of stunting and wasting (20%)

Identification of malnutrition through appropriate data collection (60%)

Assist in management aspects of the programme (10%)

Support humanitarian activities of Action Against Hunger (10%)

Bachelor degree . (Fresh graduates)

Knowledge about infant and young child feeding, child growth, nutrition during the life cycle, acute malnutrition, chronic undernutrition, child development and micronutrient deficiencies would be an asset for this position Additional knowledge and abilities about the alignment of nutrition with maternal and child health, and food security and livelihoods programs

Experience working in community nutrition. Experience in humanitarian and development organizations is desirable.

Not compulsory Native Arabic (compulsory) Good in English (Desirable)
