Nutrition Field Officer

Objective 1: IYCF Assessment Activities : -       In collaboration with the Assistant Head of Project to make an assessment over IYCF practices among the Syrian refugee community settled in the intervention area. -       To determine which are the good practices and the practices that needs improvement among Syrian community. -       Write daily report during assessment and a final report. Objective 2: Nutrition project identification sites Activities : -       Participate to the data collection regarding identification of future implementation sites of the nutrition project. -       Write daily report during assessment and a final report. Objective 3: Implementation of nutrition activities: Activities : -          Carry out home visits, present the ACF nutrition activities and explain the reason for the visit. -          Register the families visited and the women/children referred -          Give advice according to the situation observed at home. -          Give the result of each home visit to the Assistant Head of Project -          Make statistics on the home visits and draft a report of activities -       Participate to the organisation of trainings for the Hygiene Promotion team on IYCF. -       Support the Hygiene promotion team for the integration of IYCF messages in their activities.   -       Participate to any other nutrition activities who could be identify according to the beneficiaries need such as: -               Nutrition sessions for the beneficiaries about adequate feeding practices. -               Breastfeeding support (increase breast milk production, re-lactation after stop breastfeeding, training and supervision of manual expression of breast milk). Objective 5: Participate in collecting information on the beneficiaries’ needs in terms of psychosocial and mental health Activities : -          Be capable of identifying the most vulnerable groups of individuals in need of psychological help. -          Observe and collect information during the programme activity sessions on the beneficiaries’ needs in terms of mental health. -          Include this information systematically in each activity report. -          Refer and follow-up beneficiaries needing psychosocial/psychological support Objective 6: Regular screening in intervention area Activities : -          Collaborate with the Assistant Head of Project in checking the children’s state of health, measure the MUAC and test for oedema and support Hygiene Promotion team to do screening during their activities. -          Inform the parents of the nutritional status of their child. -          Refer and follow-up malnourish cases to the nearest Primary Health Care (PHC) centres or the Hospital. -          Participate to the organisation of the training on screening for the Hygiene Promotion team. -          Support the Hygiene promotion team for the implementation of the screening activity. -          Collect and analyse data about screening with the support of the assistant head of project.   Objective 7: Reporting Activities : -          Realize a weekly and monthly report -          Participate to external reports if needed
