GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of the Nutrition Field Officer : Identification and follow-up on beneficiaries and community mobilization. (Outreach work)Support the Nutritionist field officer in conducting sessions and community capacity building. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES Technical Knowledge A minimum knowledge about infant and young child feeding, nutrition during the life cycle  Previous experience needed A minimum of one year experience working in psycho-social support programs or community nutrition.Experience in working with the response to the Syrian crisis especially in Lebanon Personal requirements Motivation, excellent communication skills, sense of initiative, respect for confidentiality, team player, active listener, flexibility. Willing to travel in areas that can experience insecurity (Macharih al Quaa, Hermel…) DETAILED OBJECTIVES AND TASKS Objective 1: Nutrition and Care Practices sessions implementation With the collaboration of the Nutritionist Field Officer, the Social Worker will help identifying new locations for the conduction of the nutrition and care practices sessions. The Social Worker will  organize and conduct the community mobilization, with the support of the Nutritionist Field Officer. The Social Worker will  conduct nutrition and care practices sessions when needed. The Social Worker will  register and follow-up on the beneficiaries before/during the sessions. The Social Worker will support checking the Nutrition status of the child through MUAC, W/L and oedema and refer him/her to the relevant PHCs if found to be acutely malnourished. S/he will be responsible for conducting the nutrition assessments required for the project and activities implementation. S/he will participate to any other nutrition activities that could be identified based on the beneficiaries needs or linked to the nutritional situation/And Food Security and Livelihoods Objective 2: Food hygiene, food preservation and culinary sessions implementation With the collaboration of other Field Officers in the team and the Nutritionist Field Officer, the Social Worker will support in the identification of new locations for the conduction of the food hygiene and cooking demonstration sessions. With the Nutritionist Field Officer support, the Social Worker will be responsible for conducting the community mobilization for the session. The Social Worker will help ensuring the conduction of food hygiene, food preservation session and cooking demonstrations to the targeted communities. Objective 3: Focal Points identification and capacity building The Social Worker will support the identification, training and follow-up of focal points within the targeted communities, on different care practices topics. S/he will be responsible for responding to the Focal points needs in term of technical support and reporting the challenges they’re facing. Objective 4: Reporting S/he will support the Nutritionist Field Officer in the production of reports. Through a narrative report, s/he will report the challenges faced through the implementation process and provide possible solutions relevant to the context and culture. Objective 5: Security Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols. Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan. Objective 6 : To support all humanitarian activities of ACF To support the emergency interventions of ACF, as per the employee’s competences To support any activity that helps reaching ACF humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.
