Temporary Validation Officer

Support the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Unit in ACF’s South Base in Lebanon for a one month period during January and February 2015. Carry out field activities in any of the seven districts of South Lebanon as specified by the M&E Supervisor and M&E Manager in order to support the WFP Food Assistance Programme. Conduct data collection and data entry and any additional reporting requirements as requested. Previous Experience: At least one year of related previous professional experience Previous field experience in assessments, data gathering, interviews and information triangulation/verification Desirable: knowledge in any of the following field: Food Security and Livelihoods, Cash for Work, WASH Required skills: Able to work in BOTH Arabic and English (spoken, written and read) Previous experience in managing data collected Good knowledge of the region (South Lebanon) Flexible and comfortable with travelling longer distances on a regular basis Initiative, organise, availability/learning capacity Ability to work as part of a team, interpersonal qualities and diplomacy Communication skills to interact with refugees and vulnerable population Good organizational skills, serious and rigorous Calm, patient, organized and open-minded Previous experience working with NGO Flexible with respect to job priority Good understanding and knowledge of the humanitarian principles Agrees with the principles, charter and objectives of ACF.
