Wash Field Officer

Under the supervision of Head of Project , the Wash Monitor Field is responsible to implement, monitor WASH activities and follow them up with the partners and beneficiaries. Specific Duties and Responsibilities : The Wash Monitor officer will be responsible for : Objective 1 : Monitoring of water trucking and water quality. Monitoring installation of water tanks at different sites for distribution. Monitoring water trucking delivery (volume, quantity and system of delivering), working closely with the local partner. Monitoring water quality (chemical and bacteriological) at different water points (water tanks, wells, city system, household, etc) Monitoring water chlorination working closely with the local partner. Informing and documenting the anomalies and the repairs carried out in the water systems, and the material necessary for the programme’s activities.   Objective 2: Monitoring of Hygiene Kits, water filters and water disinfection tablets distribution. Monitoring NFI distribution working closely with the local partner. Collecting of beneficiaries list from local partner after distributions. Informing and documenting the anomalies happened during distributions, and possible improvement necessary for the activities. Objective 3: Data collection and sensitisation campaign. Ensuring understanding and needs of the communities on water and sanitation needs and uses, and coordination with the local partner and Water team on best implementation. Data collection regarding the project and the potentials beneficiaries. Conduct of social mobilization and sensitization. Regular reporting to Head  of Project Assistant Knowledge and Skills required: A bachelor's degree in  Civil engineering, environmental field, water related studies with basic technical training in water quality analysis and sanitation. Minimum of three years of  Experience in a similar position,  Experience with participatory methodologies, monitoring and reporting Ability to work in a team, interpersonal qualities and diplomacy; Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision Computer skills (Microsoft Office suite including access), Fluent in Arabic,  Good English level (written, reading and writing).
