MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of the Area Manager, the WaSH Field Supervisor is responsible for the daily technical planning, supervision, monitoring and reporting of the field activities and for ensuring proper coordination with communities, municipalities and related ACF departments. She/he provides leadership to the team EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES WaSH experience or related discipline Experience in team management Computer skills (Microsoft Office suite including access) Team leader Reporting capacity Organised and rigorous Availability/learning capacity Ability to work in a team Interpersonal qualities and diplomacy Flexible with respect to job priority Agrees with the principles and objectives of ACF. DETAILED OBJECTIVES AND TASKS Objective 1: Supervision of wash related activities Provide technical input and advice in emergency response water and sanitation activities, as well as waste management and hygiene promotion. Follow up the defined work plan. Follow up the implementation of requested integrated activities (awareness sessions, assessments ). Ensure the work is properly done and the material use wisely. Coordinate with the field team, the municipality focal point and the Area Manager. Ensure that the weekly/monthly work plan is respected on the field. Ensure that the project activities are introduced and coordinated at the municipality level. Objective 2: Team management Supervise and mentor the staff under his/her supervision as well as partners. Participate in staff training, helping to build technical capacity of staff, operators and partners in the area of WASH and M&E. Mentor and coach colleagues and team members, building their capacity to obtain high quality results and impacts. Helps to develop and execute context-specific solutions to improve collaboration, coordination and performance. Objective 3: Reporting Report the progress of the work to the supervisor. Report possible problem or conflict during the activities. Report the use of materials and possible improvement. Data collection regarding the project and the potentials beneficiaries. Regular reporting to the field supervisor. Objective 4: Other WaSH related activities Participate to the conduction of assessment. Participate to the distribution of water and sanitation items. Support other field officer during construction or other activities. Objective 5: Security and collaboration Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols. Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan. Be committed to participate to any other work in order to achieved the project goal.
