Effective Project Management:
- Programmatic and fiduciary oversight and high-quality and timely reporting that meets donor requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the related unit for management and implementation of their project, progress, including procurement, project monitoring and evaluation, financial management, and financial reporting.
- Supervise project staff including tutors, outreach officers, janitors, in the performance of their respective duties and ensure the efficient functioning of the project
- Facilitate team building and cohesive working amongst team members
- Ensure effective mainstreaming of child protection mainstreaming in project design, implementation, and evaluation;
- Prepare monthly progress reports – or as needed, and other reports that may be required by stakeholders
- Monitor the progress of implementation of project activities and key event schedules observing the workplan and set deadlines including monitoring of the financial resources and accounting to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports;
- Lead the development of work plans, workshops, and periodical work sessions and meetings for the project team and hold orientation seminars for team members from the project and Education/Child Protection sector to clarify the project's objective and methodology.
Coordination:
- Maintaining strong relationships with the implementing partners, other relevant partners, and donors
- Represent ADRA in sector meetings, working groups, and external relations
- The Project Manager will report directly to the Program Coordination
Reporting:
- Develop new project proposals related to Education and Child Protection, building on lessons learned, needs assessments, and coordination with key stakeholders
- Submitting reports to the Program Coordinator, partners, and donors in a quality and timely manner.
- Must ensure establishment and maintenance of proper electronic and paper filing systems – including student information, grades, and referrals.
Finance:
- Understands accounting and financial management concepts and tools.
- Work with the Finance team to review financial reports and maintain accurate spending reports and up-to-date budgets.
Qualifications Required:
- Master's degree in International Development or related field or equivalent work experience (6+ years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 8-10 years of relevant professional work experience in International Relief and Development, Program Management, business development or related area. Requires a minimum of three years of direct staff management.
