Course "religions And Public Affairs" - 2012 Session

For the 2nd year, the Cross-Cultural Studies Department at Adyan Foundation carries on with the “Religions and public affairs in Lebanon" course. Course Objectives:The course is based on the methodology of research-based and analytical dialogue and on a comprehensive and integrated view of the religious and humanitarian values. It works towards equipping the trainees with the following competences: - Objective approach to religions - Analytical approach to religion in the public sphere in Lebanon - Openness to diversity within each religion, and religious pluralism and dialogue methodologies Course sections:Section 1 : Religions of the world - 5 courses (32 training hours) Section 2 : Theology of pluralism and the other - 3 courses (20 training hours)Section 3 : Religion and the public sphere and the Lebanese contemporary history - 3 courses (28 training hours) Upon successful completion of the course, trainees receive a certificate from Adyan Foundation Schedule:Tuesdays from 7:00 until 8:30 pm; starting Tuesday 18 September 2012 Information and Registration:Registration fees (symbolic): 20 USD per courseRegistration fees for Adyan staff and volunteers: 10.000 LBP per course For further information on the course and for registration, please contact the RPA Course Coordinator, Fr.
