Finance Manager

I) BUDGET AND STRATEGIC ANALYSIS

  1. Manage the Foundation’s consolidated Budget.
  2. Assist the projects managers in developing their budgets, and validate the result for the ED approval.
  3. Develop the Budget of the new projects.
  4. Undertake strategic analysis of the foundation’s finance.
  5. Carry out business modelling and risk assessments, and produce long-term business plans.  

II) EXTERNAL RELATIONS

  1. Manage relationship with CNSS, Ministry of Finance (VAT collection and Tax payment), and similar governmental and legal entities. 
  2. Manage the relationship with Banks.
  3. Manage relationship with the Auditors and other regulatory bodies, implement requirements, and maintain high levels of compliance.
  4. Manage the Financial Relations with the Partners and Donors.

III) CONTROL AND REPORTING

  1. Supervise the work of the Accountant(s) in handling Petty- cash,
  2. Reconciliations, project budget controls.
  3. Review and approve the monthly Payroll.
  4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly and on request financial reports for the ED.
  5. Prepare the closing of projects and the Financial Year reports for the ED approval.

IV) MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES

  1. Manage and develop the financial systems/models/standards and related policies and software.
  2. Manage and Supervise and coach the staff in the Finance unit and ensure the right execution and quality of their work.
  3. Define and submit to the ED optimized means of payments, placements, collections, taking into consideration general economic context and currencies fluctuations.

V) OTHERS

  1. Abide by the Foundation's Code of Conduct and Policies and Procedures, as well as the Law.
  2. Liaise with the managerial staff and other colleagues.
  3. Perform any other task as requested by the CEO.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics. MBA in Finances is a competitive advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of solid experience, with work in international setting. Previous experience in nonprofit (NGO or INGO) field, in an advantage.
  • Highly methodic and attentive to detail.
  • Analytical thinker with strategic and mature views.
  • Empathetic and people’s person, able to work in a multicultural/diversified environment and mitigate problems.
  • Effective communicator (both oral and written).
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Advanced level of English and Arabic proficiency (both oral and written).  
  • Well versed in computerized accounting systems.
  • Proficient in Excel, Pivot Table, Power Point, MS Office in general.   
  • Willing to travel when needed.
