Financial Controller

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage relationship with CNSS, Banks, Ministry of Finance (VAT collection and Tax payment).
  2. Manage relationship with the Auditors.
  3. Respond to Donors Financial related queries and requests.
  4. Check proper receipt of inward transfers from Donors and advise related Budget Holders.
  5. Assist Projects Coordinators/Managers in Budget Control and financial reporting to Donors.
  6. Ensure payments requested by Project Coordinator/Manager are within their Budget lines.
  7. Support Project-end and Year-end processes.
  8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly and on request financial reports.
  9. Manage and report about the Foundation's Cashflow.
  10. Post Transactions on Accounting System for specific Projects.
  11. Perform Banks Accounts Reconciliations.
  12. Prepare required reports for CNSS and Ministry of Finance (VAT collection and Tax Payment) in collaboration with the Auditor.   
  13. Handle the Petty- cash.
  14. Handle the foundation blank checks stock and issued undelivered checks.
  15. Check correctness of approved invoices, prepare Payments either in cash, checks or bank transfers, get the Foundation signatories approval and send related documents to the Accounting Coordinator for payments and data entry.
  16. Check and approve the monthly Payroll prepared by the Accounting Coordinator.
  17. Prepare salaries Checks and e-transfers of Salaries to Banks accounts.
  18. Check correctness of the transactions posted by his/her colleague.
  19. Ensure payments requested by Project Coordinator/Manager are within their Budget lines.
  20. Perform periodic and/or on Donor's request cross-check of Accounts vs Projects with the Project Coordinator/Manager.
  21. Perform any other task as requested by the Line Manager.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Studies and experience

  • BA or MA in Accounting, Finance, or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in the field.
  • Good in using MS office specially excel, and familiar with accounting systems.
  • Proficient command of Arabic and English Languages.
