WE ARE RECRUITING A COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER!
Beirut DC is a Lebanese non-profit organization striving to empower filmmakers and audiences from every corner of the Arab world. We believe in the power of film as a driver for change, in access to independent cinema as a right to all communities, across class and culture, and in the right of Arab artists to choose their own narratives. We create resources, events, and virtual and physical spaces that bring filmmakers, communities, and civil society closer, paving the way for radical and transformative collaboration.
We are looking for a Communications Manager to join our team and take over all of our communication channels, online and offline, as well as our publications.

Our institution and our programs constantly evolve in response to our community’s needs, and, by extension, so do our jobs. We are looking for someone with team spirit and entrepreneurial drive, who can take initiative and is comfortable handling diverse tasks, to support the team and the institution as a whole.
DUTIES:
- Oversee the general communication, marketing, and brand strategy of Beirut DC, and all of its programs, in close collaboration with the Program Managers;
- Coordinating, creating, and managing all of Beirut DC’s content across our platforms (Websites, Social Media, Newsletters, etc.) and brands (Beirut DC, aflamuna.online, Beirut Cinema Days, etc.) in both English and Arabic;
- Coordinating with the press team, graphic designers, and project managers for online and offline marketing campaigns and publications;
- Coordinating the creation, production, and distribution of our publications (catalogs, booklets, resources, etc.);
- Managing a small press, digital marketing, photography, and videography team during large events;
- Maintaining the digital archive of Beirut DC; films, events photos, and videos, and publications;
- Maintain the presence and visibility of Beirut DC in the press and actively pursue opportunities for visibility;
- Design and manage communications plan and budget;
- Create monthly user engagement reports.
DETAILS:
- Full-time job, start immediately;
- Office in Furn El Chebbak, Beirut, Lebanon;
- 3 months contract, with the possibility of a year-long extension;
- Salary according to profile.
PROFILE:
- Residing with legal right to work in Lebanon;
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in communications;
- 2+ years of proven experience in digital marketing, communication, and/or publicity;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic, French is a plus;
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills;
- Able to thrive in a flexible, changeable workplace where people are able and encouraged to take the initiative;
- Digital marketing expertise and technical skills: social media platforms, user acquisition, SEO, Squarespace, etc;
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and/or video editing software, such as Canva, Premiere, or similar is a strong plus, but not required;
- Interest in the bridge between cinema, arts, and culture, and civil society.
