1. The Republic of Lebanon represented by the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) (hereinafter referred to as the “Purchaser”) received a Grant from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) toward the cost of the Climate Smart Agriculture: Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of the Rural Communities in Lebanon (AgriCAL) Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to eligible payments under the contract: Procurement of Concentrate Feed for goats and sheep.
2. The fiduciary operations coordination for the Climate Smart Agriculture: Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of the Rural Communities in Lebanon (AgriCAL) Project (procurement processing and financial management) will be undertaken by a Project Coordination Unit (PCU) in the Ministry of Agriculture. The PCU will be responsible for managing the procurement process of all bids and tenders under the Grant to include but not limited to: preparation of bidding documents, advertising; contract preparation; participation in the evaluation process, contract management and payments under the Contract.
3. The Ministry of Agriculture invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Procurement of sheep and goats.
The maximum duration for the supply, delivery and testing of Goods is sixty (60) days after the signature of the Contract.

4. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidder's representatives who choose to attend on Tuesday 28th of September 2021 at 13:10 p.m. (Beirut local time) at the address mentioned in point 2.
