Program/research assistant (Agriculture)

The program/research assistant will be responsible for particular tasks related to the selection of the research methods, conducting primary data collection (focus groups, KIIs, etc.), monitoring research progress, communication with stakeholders involved in the project, as well as assistance in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.

The program/research assistant will be primarily responsible of the following activities:

• Support in developing research methods and data collection tools to study agriculture value chains designed under the current agriculture program
• Monitor and facilitate data collection on ground with outreach officers
• Conduct primary data collection when necessary
• Conduct secondary data review to prepare the field work
• Support in data analysis and report writing
• Transform findings into concept notes and support in proposal writing and development
• Support in identifying new call for proposals in the agriculture sectors
• Relocate or face a longer commute as and when required
