Project Engineer

Posting on behalf of an organisation who is seeking to recruit a Project Engineer.

The project seeks to construct new canals/ agricultural roads, the project requires managing stress a., S/he should be flexible and accommodate to difficult working circumstances.

Objective 1:   General Duties 

• Daily site visits for each of the technical officers and contractors
• Collect data and information related to all construction activities
• Ensure proper documentation for all activities on site
• Ensure to assist in the issuing of request for quotations (RFQs)
• Ensure to assist will the issued tenders including bill of quantities, bidding documents and technical conditions 
• Ensure the mitigation of aspects related to gender, child protection and crosscutting issues.
• Enhance referral pathways
• Coordinate with other team members.
• Other related tasks may be required from the Manager.  

 Objective 2:   Management duties and Supervision

                     Manage:

1. Contract Administration
2. Quantity measures
3. Cost control
4. Final payments and quality control
5. Multiple contractors

                   Supervise:

1. Daily Field activities
2.  Daily contractors activities
3.   Daily site progress

Education:

• Bachelor  degree in Engineer

Related Skills:

• Ability to take mathematical and technical skills, including physics.
• Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects.
• Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
