Technical Field Officer

Posting on behalf of an organisation who is seeking to recruit a Technical Field Officer. 

The project seeks to construct new canals/ agricultural roads, the project requires managing stress a., S/he should be flexible and accommodate to difficult working circumstances.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Measure distances and angles between points on, above, and below the Earth’s surface.
• Travel to locations and select known reference points to determine the exact location of important features.
• Establish stake sites and official land and water boundaries
• Research land records, survey records, and land titles
•  Search  for evidence of previous boundaries to determine where boundary lines are located
• Record the results of surveying and verify the accuracy of data.
• Prepare plots, maps, and reports to ensure that all Services- related data (e.g., activity).
• Monitor and provides an accurate representation of the reality on the ground. 
• Take notes of land for deeds, leases, and other legal documents
• Undertake land/topographic surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology.
• Prepare survey drawings.         
• Other related tasks may be required from the Coordinator.   

Education:

• Surveyor Engineer (College or TS Degree).

Related Skills:

• Ability to take mathematical and technical skills, including physics.
• Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects.
• Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferably to own your personal total station and GPS machine.
