Basketball Trainer

Areas of Responsibility:

General objective of the job:

AND seeks the support of a qualified Trainer to provide professional basketball training, mentorship, and development opportunities for girls, fostering athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, and confidence both on and off the court.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design training sessions focusing on fundamentals (dribbling, shooting, passing, defense).
  • Develop fitness and conditioning programs tailored to female athletes.
  • Introduce advanced techniques and game strategies as players progress.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership among players.
  • Encourage participation in competitions.
  • Provide guidance on nutrition, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle.
  • Maintain attendance records and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with parents, schools, or clubs for scheduling and logistics.
  • Ensure safe and inclusive training environments.

Deliverables

  • Training plans and session reports.
  • Continual performance evaluations of trainees.
  • Development plan for the girls’ basketball program.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Certified basketball coach/trainer (female) with proven experience.
  • Prior experience coaching female athletes preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid and injury management.

Reporting

The basketball trainer shall report to the project manager.
